LSU Baseball Hitting Clinic- November 20th

The LSU Hitting Clinic is for hitters who will be in the 5th grade and up in the fall of 2017 and are interested in honing their hitting skills before the spring season. All aspects of hitting will be covered including mechanics, mental approach, game approach and NEW to 2017 an in depth video analysis session. Campers will leave with a new sense of what it takes to be a hitter for the LSU Tigers, an abundance of drills that campers can do on their own to improve their hitting skills, and will get a lot of repetitions to get them ready for their upcoming season. The Hitting Clinic will be tutored by LSU hitting coach Micah Gibbs, as well as former Tiger professional players.
Grades 5-12

Cost $200 (Campers signing up for both the hitting clinic and pitching/catching camp will receive a 10% discount

LSU Baseball Pitching/Catching Camp- November 21st

The Pitching/Catching Clinic will essentially be two separate camps: a pitching and a catching camp going on simultaneously and then coming together at the end. The Catchers will work on the finer points of receiving, blocking, and throwing as well as the mental aspects of the catcher position with LSU catching coach Micah Gibbs and LSU's catchers in professional baseball. Pitchers will be tutored on mechanics, throwing programs, and arm care by LSU pitching coach Alan Dunn as well as former Tiger professional pitchers.
Grades 5-12

LSU Baseball Camp Holiday 2017

The Holiday Camp will offer daily instruction on position specific fundamentals- hitting, pitching, fielding, & base running. The camp will provide the best possible instruction for players of all ages and abilities in a structured, enthusiastic, fun environment. Campers will be taught through verbal instruction and visual demonstration, and also by taking part in instructional drills/games. Campers will receive instruction from some of the best collegiate coaches and players, along with top high school coaches in the area. Campers will be given quality instruction on how to play the game and how to improve themselves on and off the field!

Goals of the Camp:
1) to give young baseball players the experience of a lifetime in a $50+ million stadium on LSU's beautiful campus in a fun, safe, positive, and action-packed atmosphere
2) to learn tips that will help advance their baseball development from our outstanding veteran staff of coaches
3) to develop their skills in all aspects of the game through repetition, both through playing instructional games and by doing drills

Skills Covered:
Hitting, Position specific Fundamentals, throwing, base running, bunting, sliding

Instructional Games: Campers will play one instructional game in the morning and one in the afternoon (lasting roughly 45 minutes- 1 hour)

Camp Format (with some flexibility)
Morning Sessions (9am-Noon) will include one instructional game and two skill sessions
Lunch (Noon-1:00pm) which will be provided, will offer the opportunity to eat lunch and relax
Afternoon Sessions (1:00-4:00pm) will include an additional instructional game and two skill sessions

Coaching Staff
LSU Coaching staff members, other college coaches, high school coaches, club coaches, LSU players, other college players, and former players

Additional Info
*Campers will be separated by age and skill level, and we will make sure that all teammate requests are met.
*All campers will receive a t-shirt
*Coach Mainieri and available LSU players will sign autographs and take pictures at a designated time during camp
